I felt rather disappointed with how my last Half-Life map turned out. CP Castle was good fun, but I made a few mistakes, which kind of ruined it. I intend to make it up to all the fellas at TWHL. I currently have a new CP map in the works and is nearing completion. This one should hopefully put Castle to shame by introducing some new aspects to the Capture Point gamemode that will hopefully spice things up a bit.On another note, I got invited to a new site called TalentArena. It's one of those art sites, much like DeviantArt, which is where I assume they saw some of my graphic skills, but it seems a little commercial. I'm checking it out but not sure if I'll join, I mean, I'm not that good at graphics anyway.

So I've been missing for a week, if not a tad more. I decided I needed a break and also to see my fiancee. I will admit, I thoroughly enjoyed myself on the sunny beaches of the west coast of Australia aside from the most single-handedly annoying aspect of any holiday.Traveling..
Yes, in order for us to actually enjoy "getting away from it all," we need to actually "get away." This may involve many different forms of transport including, but not limited to, planes, trains, buses and our all time favorite, driving. As for me, well, I enjoy the semi-miracle that is the motorcycle. The enjoyable side of such transport is the lack of being trapped inside a stuffy box called a car, also not having to tolerate the insubordinate behaviour of other people, which makes you wish you could pull over and kick them out in the middle of nowhere. I might also add that should you become in close proximity to another motorcycle, wether you know them or not, you instantly create a posse and you feel ... (more)

So I'm going away for a week. I will still be on the net a bit but you won't see very much of me though. I'm spending the week with my fiance' so it should be a lovely week if I can get over my current stomach problems and survive the 300km drive on my trusty old motorbike. Sometimes, you just stumble apon those amazing gold nuggets that just make everything else seem bland in comparison. 'Which' is one of those nuggets. This short game is truely an inspiration. It's aimed at being horrific, creepy and yet also touching. I won't tell you much else other than the basics. This game, completely in black and white, places you in a small house. You sole purpose is to find the way out. A task not as simple as it first seems and there are two possible endings, both as fantastic as each other. I strongly recommend this game, but you may need a clean pair of underwear afterwards.Download 'Which' by Mike Inel

So I had the strangest dream last night. So vivid I could actually write a short story about it, which I will.I was a Sargent in the Space Defence corps. It wasn't actually me as I was of strong build and had black hair, but this was the person I saw through. There was an emergency and I was forced to make an emergency skydiving jump back into Earth's atmosphere. This was somehow possible with the new tech I was wearing. However, on the way through the asmosphere I noticed that I was not burning up, and when I landed near a lake, the lake was full of black tar-like gloop. I ran for the nearest town and on the way in, I came across home belonging to a large family. There was clearly something wrong as they were outside making a fuss and crying. When I spoke to them, they told me that their uncle was no longer in his room. Instead this large, greenish, alien figure was kneeling at the side of the bed and had been for some time. ... (more)

So I'm blogging now. This should be fun. I probably won't write very often, but hey! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. By the way, I hate this colour scheme and I really wish I could use a better one.I am creating a secret entry for a mapping project on my favorite site TWHL. It shouldn't take long and it will look totally awesome when it's finished. Other than that, I'm going on holidays on Monday for a week. I'll have the laptop, but I'll have to share with my fiance so I don't actually know how much work I'll be able to get done. Let's hope I manage to pry her off the internet for at least a while so I can on top of things.
